| Description: | Trojan.BeastPWS.C is a keylogging trojan which arrives in an email which purports itself as a Microsoft patch for the Winlogon service. It attempts to inject a dropped library (.dll) file into Internet Explorer if it is running so that it can log keystrokes. The recorded keystrokes are then posted back to a remote web server. Trojan.BeastPWS.C will also disable the System Restore service if it is present on the system. |
